Measuring for Full Height Shutter

Important Information
Check for obstructions like window furniture, inward-opening doors, or existing architraves. The shutter style, frame choice, and blade size all impact the installation process.

Frames
L Frames and Z Frames are suitable for inside recess.
A standard frame is 49.8mm deep; 63mm blades do not protrude out the back of the frame.
Check depth of reveal clearance
Minimum clearance for blade size are as follows:
- 63mm—18.05mm
- 76mm—24.4mm
- 89mm—30.8mm
Divider Rails (Mid Rail)
Divider rails are automatically added on shutter panels over 1700mm in height and will be placed in the optimum position, usually halfway.
However, if your panel is 609mm wide, the required height is 1524mm.
Step1
Placing Mid Rail on different position
To align a mid-rail with a window break, measure from the bottom of the opening to the center of the desired divider rail height.

Enter the Mid Rail Height
Enter this measurement in the ‘Mid Rail Height’ option when customizing your shutter.
Full Height - Inside Recess
To mount the Shutter inside your window recess follow these instructions.
Step1
Check for handle obstructions
Check the openings for any obstructions, such as window furniture, inward-opening doors, or existing architraves. The shutter style, frame choice, and blade size influence the installation process.

Step2
Measure the Width
L Frames and Z Frames are suitable for inside recess.
A standard frame is 49.8mm deep; 63mm blades do not protrude out the back of the frame.
Step3
Measure the Drop
Then measure the drop of your window recess in three places. Use the smallest measurement as your drop and deduct 5mm.
This is your drop measurement.
